Suffering from Inflammatory Bowel Disease

For two years l have been suffering with very bad cramps, diarrhoea that came with a lot of blood and extreme tiredness . I found it very frustrating as I kept going to my doctor and she kept saying it was irritable bowel syndrome and that l had hemorrhoids and l had to keep taking these different medicines that had no impact what so ever and after so many visits l got sent for a colonsocopy and thats when they had Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease is often confused with IBS which is Irritable Bowel Syndrome but they are two completely different conditions. Irritable bowel syndrome can be prevented and Inflammatory bowel syndrome can't be prevented. This is what happens when you have this chronic illness your white blood cells in your body are too high so they start to fight against your intestines which leaves your intestines inflamed with ulcers and this causes a lot of pain, diarrhoea and because your body can't absorb nutrients properly you end up tired, not feeling great and you tend to lose weight

I found that when l told people l had it some people were very supportive and then there were others who were like you should eat this and shouldn't eat that and the funny thing is food doesn't cause your IBD it is your immune system that is causing it.It was also very embarrassing to tell people that you have this because it's not a subject that people feel pleasant talking about especially when you have the runs. Having the diarrhoea is one of the most annoying symptom to have because when your out its very obvious what you have when you suddenly get up and run to the toliet and another is finding a toilet quickly there were many times when l nearly didn't make it  . .

   .

I'm currently waiting for my biopsy to come back to decide whether l have Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's Disease. Neither are great but as my doctor said l have caught it in the early stages so l can treat it and keep on top of it . What l find hard is the medicines they put you on l'm currently on steroids and they make me feel really sick with headaches but l can't go off them because my doctor said my condition will get worse if l do but l think l rather this than the alternative.

I think its important to remember just because a person looks well on the outside doesn't mean they are aren't sick. IBD is not visible on the outside but what is happening inside is very painful , inflamed and bloody. I'm writing this blog to let other people my age you are not alone if you have this, when l found out l had lt l felt like the only young person to have this and in my research l found out plenty of young people suffer with this its just not talked about because its the bowels and people don't like talking about it.

Strike 4 Repeal

Ireland's history with abortion has been a long and complicated one with women having backstreet abortions and then later going over to the UK for them .
Many people think these women get abortions because they were careless and didn't take precautions but that's not the case at all . Many people got them because they couldn't provide a life for that child because of various situations such as not having enough money , they can't physically look after a child or too mentally ill to look after a child.

A few years ago a woman called Savita halappanavar died because she was not offered an abortion which could of saved her life even though her and her husband wanted it she was denied it . It was unlikely for the child to survive but still the hospital said no . They say every child has a heartbeat and a soul but what about the women they definitely have a heartbeat and a soul but in lots of cases they are ignored by our government. People are so concerned about the fetus inside your womb but once it is born , they couldn't care less about that child how hypocritical are some.

Many people say give "the child up for adoption" but why would any woman want to carry a child for 9 months , give birth and then giving it to strangers that seems heartless and very cruel . Strike for repeal is repealing the 8th amendment allowing women to make the choice for themselves.

In my opinion women should be allowed control over their own bodies and no one has the right to tell you what you can do with it and the reason l am posting this today is because it is the 8th of March is the day all over Ireland women will be protesting for this amendment to be changed.

February Favourites

So this month has been a very quiet one for me, l've been busy with work experience for my course. I don't know lf have told you but l have started a business studies course . Its been pretty hectic with loads of assignments and assessments but l'm sure it will be worth it in the end.

Anyways my favourites for February are first of all my Zoeva Naturally Yours palette.
I bought this a year or two ago and have gotten back in to it . I've actually been trying to use it up to as it will expire later this year . But l find their shades very blendable and pigmented there is one shade l don't find that pigmented and thats forever yours but thats okay . l get to use more of it up to make it show . I love the colour. Sorry it looks a bit dirty just lots of love given to it.

My next make up favourite and l think this is everyones favourite and thats the collection lasting perfection concealer in fair . I find it easy to blend and it suits my skin colour and it is so cheap honestly go out and get this its better than any high end concealers.

This is the best micellar water l've ever tried and its  even better than the garnier micellar water. The main reason why l am walking away from Garnier is because its products are tested on animals and l want to walk away from any company that tests on them. So l found it a struggle to find a good cleanser/ micellar water but l found this one and l love it . Its from Optimum and they are a superdrug brand . I find it very hydrating on the skin doesn't leave my skin very dry like the garnier one did and it takes off eye make up which the garnier one did not well worth the purchase.

The next one is a primer l found from Barry M , l'm never tried their primers and l was very interested in trying a primer water to see lf its any good. I find this primer so hydrating while keeping my make up on all day . It doesn't leave any weird feeling on the skin afterwards and smells nice without it being over powering plus it dries very quickly and as l'm in a hurry most mornings l don't have time to wait around. I can't wait to try more from Barry M

The last favourite l Have is a little brow kit from Make up revolutions , l find make up revolutions , you get great quality for an affordable price.I've been using this for a good few months and l still haven't finished it and l use it everyday. Its so pigmented and its not that powdery compared to a lot of other brow kits out there . I think this was like £2.50 from superdrug . Would definitely repurchase this when it is gone.

So thats the last of my favourites for this month and l would love to know if you have any of these .
So thank you very much for reading this blog and l hope you have a wonderful week

Lots of Love

Day Five In Naples // Our Last Full Day // Spaccanapoli Street // Grangusto

After last night's sickness I couldn't stomach breakfast so l slept in till like 12 in the afternoon, I felt so bad not getting up early because lt was our last day in Naples and I wanted to enjoy it but oh well. I eventually got up , had a shower and got ready.

We walked up some streets and came across a street lined with make up , clothes and shoe shops so it was like heaven :) I was walking pass them and Kiko caught my eye when l went into l expected it to be expensive but lt was actually really affordable and plus they had a huge sale so I kind of splurged on a good bit of make up. Kiko l found out is cruelty free so any of you who are looking for a cruelty free make up product this might be the one for you :)

After leaving kiko and then walking for a bit , l felt hungry so we dropped into this tapas bar , it was gorgeous and l had a sneaky sangaria with it as well which was delicious. I think it was called..... I will put a picture down below.

Next place we went to was Spaccanapoli Street, I loved this place , it was a long street filled with market shops and stalls with cheesy soveniers and things you can only get in naples. We stopped by a little shop and we tasted the most delicious ice cream , l got a pischachio and melon ice cream and stephen as usual got a chocolate ice cream, I would love to go there again . I will put up a picture of it for you.

Coming home we were exhausted , l collapsed on the bed but soon after l had recovered and then we decided to go out for something to eat for our last day . We didn't want to venture far because we had to be in bed early for our flight home early the next morning. We stopped by this restuarant / grocery shop called Grangusto , it was amazing , I kind  of wished that we had gone there on our last day. I found that it wasn't that expensive each meal was around 12 to 15 euros and the staff was very friendly , even though we didn't speak Italian they tried to speak english which was a relief after the places we had been to

Leaving Grangusto we were stuffed , we made our way back to the hotel through the busy streets of Naples.Opening the door to the room , we quickly got our bags ready for the morning and climbed into bed and drifted to sleep and that ends our amazing trip to Naples.

Love

Rose
